In the never-ending quest to attract a younger audience to casinos, MGM Resorts has announced that a former nightclub at the Luxor in vegas will reopen as an esports arena.
The Luxor is remodeling its now-defunct nightclub LAX into an esports arena. The target is to pull in a younger demographic, not as enchanted by traditional slots as their parents.
The business has entered into a cope with Allied Esports and Esports Arena to develop a dedicated venue for gamers at the now closed LAX nightclub. The 30,000-square-foot space will have multi-level arena detailed with competition stage, LED video clip wall, telescopic seating, day-to-day gaming channels, a personalized food and beverage providing, and a state-of-the-art streaming and television-quality production studio.
Niklas Rytterstrom, general supervisor of Luxor, thinks that esports is the future and will be among the more popular features at the Strip resort, once it is completed in June 2018.
